Our Team

Candice Lopez, MPA (She,Her,Hers)

Driven by a passion for equality and a commitment to advocacy, I have been a champion for social justice for over two decades. I have worked on the front lines of change, collaborating with grassroots organizations, leading community initiatives, and influencing policy reform. My draw to social justice work was led by an interest in gender disparities with an emphasis on understanding gender-based violence. This interest ignited a lifelong pursuit of fairness and inclusion leading to decades of working with nonprofits and governments to address violence against women. This experience laid the foundation for a career dedicated to dismantling systemic barriers and empowering marginalized communities.

Triina Van, M.P.P. (She, Her, Hers)

My passion for service was instilled in me from my mother who committed her career to nursing. My passion is fueled by equity and social justice. I have spent 25 years of my life committing to anti-poverty, education, and housing work. Iā€™m inspired by the people, organizations and communities who sacrifice and strive for creating more equitable and just policies and systems through enriching and empowering services. I get jazzed when policy and systems intersect with that work, where creativity and passion join for the greater good.
